Critical Incident Response
I provide on-site hyphenate or remote critical incident response to workplace trauma. This includes robbery, kidnapping, terrorism, sexual harassment, suicide, and grief/loss. I have held management consultations on such issues as well as staff consultations and groups.
You do not have to experience or witness the traumatic event(s) to have an abreaction. Many organizations in human services and humanitarian care experience abreactions from hearing or helping those in desperate life threatening situations.
Healthcare workers, nonprofit or government workers can easily burn out or have secondary trauma from their work.
Traumatic incidents can bring up old and new questions such as:
