Monk Overlooking at a Temple

Hi,

I'M CYNTHIA GRGURIC.

I am an International Psychologist and Licensed Mental Health Counselor. For the past 20 years, I have worked internationally providing on and off site crisis response services, webinars, workshops, and consultations. I have been a consultant with the US Military at bases worldwide and the Pentagon, and helped facilitate national disaster response programs. My international experience, educational training on the impact of past and present cultural milieus, and training in International Criminal Investigation informs my special expertise in working with veterans, refugees, expats, humanitarian workers, and immigrants and the trauma-focused approach I bring to all of my work.

I also provide face to face sessions in my office, by phone, or by video through my HIPPA compliant internet portal on couples/relationship, gender violence, depression, anxiety, military, conflict, trauma, and life/work balance issues.

EQ 2.0 or EQ360 Assessment
CERTIFIED

We all have struggles at work whether it is as a leader getting your team engaged and executing projects, being part of a team continually frustrated with that one difficult person, struggling with over or under communication, or overwhelmed by the expectations of others and constantly under stress and duress.

Through the EQ 2.0 or EQ360 assessment and follow-up coaching can help clarify those areas of ongoing struggle and work to develop more effective results. The tailored analysis and individual coaching can identify how you can develop more success in your work and interpersonal skills.

Crisis/Critical Incident Response

A critical incident can be overwhelming and, even if we have an action plan, we can be caught off guard. A map helps, but the specific road to take can change with each situation.

Gathering the life changing meaning and finding the steps forward can be hard.

I can help unpack these through individual consults and/or groups with management and staff. I have counseled organizations through work place violence, kidnappings, sexual harassment, suicide, sudden loss, and organizational restructuring.

Psychotherapy

Dark days bring revelation and ability to see the light if you seek it.

I help you explore and walk through these dark days towards the light of making sense and meaning in your circumstances.

Having compassion, acceptance, and forgiveness for self and others allows us to live freely.

My specialties include the impact of culture in its many forms including ethnic, religious, historic, family of origin. I also specialize in depression, anxiety, and trauma, as well as military service, humanitarian staff care, and relationships.

Life Coaching

My Life Coaching approach gives you a supportive safe space to explore what’s going on for you and learn new skills that enable you to balance your personal and career goals and increase self-esteem.

Organizational Resilience

I can help guide organizations to assess and develop their resilience and support tools to manage critical incidents by helping guide organizations through a resilience plan to help tools to withstand unexpected events.

Social media, workplace trauma, restructuring, sexual harassment can unravel or create imbalance in an organization.

Workplace diversity has many benefits but can also cause clashes in communication, relationships, norms, management styles, and perceptions, managing health teams, anxiety through uncertain times, work-life balance, working remotely, stress and resilience, and community based resilience.

"People of different religions and cultures live side by side in almost every part of the world, and most of us have overlapping identities which unite us with very different groups. We can love what we are, without hating what – and who – we are not. We can thrive in our own tradition, even as we learn from others, and come to respect their teachings."

—Kofi Annan, Former Secretary-General of the United Nations
