Monk Overlooking at a Temple

I am an International Psychologist and Licensed Mental Health Counselor for over 20 years, who provides on and off site crisis response and international workshops and consultations. I have been a consultant with the US Military at bases worldwide and the pentagon, and coordinated disaster response programs.

I also work domestically, providing sessions in  my office or privacy secure face time or telephonic sessions on relationship, gender violence, depression, anxiety, military, conflict, trauma and life/work balance issues.

Crisis response
Critical incident response

When a critical incident happens, no matter how much we have an action plan, it still can be overwhelming and catch us off guard. A map helps, but the specific roads to take change with each situation.

Gathering the meaning and steps forward can be hard. I can help unpack these through individual consults and/or groups with management and staff. I have counseled organizations through work place violence, kidnappings, sexual harassment, suicide, sudden loss, and organizational restructuring.

Dark days bring revelation and ability to see the light if you seek it.

I help you explore and walk with you through these dark days to bring you to the "light" of joy and revelation.

Having compassion, acceptance, and forgiveness for self and others allows us to live freely.

My specialities include working with the impact of culture (ethnic, religion, history, family of origin), depression, anxiety, trauma, military, humanitarian staff care, and relationships.

Life Coaching

My Life Coaching approach gives you a supportive safe space to explore what’s going on for you and learn new skills that enable you balance your personal & career goals and increasing self esteem.

Organizational Resilience

I can help guide organizations to assess and develop their resilience and support tools to manage critical incidents.

Unexpected incidents- social media, workplace trauma, restructuring, sexual harassment can unravel or create imbalance in an organization.

Workplace diversity has many benefits but can also cause clashes in communication, relationships, norms, management styles, and perceptions.

I can help guide organizations through a resilience plan and tools to withstand:

  • Unexpected Events

  • Work-Life Balance

  • Working Remotely

  • Stress and Resilience

  • Diversity in the Workplace

  • Community Based Resilience

"People of different religions and cultures live side by side in almost every part of the world, and most of us have overlapping identities which unite us with very different groups. We can love what we are, without hating what – and who – we are not. We can thrive in our own tradition, even as we learn from others, and come to respect their teachings."

—Kofi Annan, Former Secretary-General of the United Nations

I have known Cynthia for 17 years. We worked together as counselors at an agency in downtown Chicago. I was inspired by her integrity, loyalty to the organization, as well as to her clients. I also observed her to be an excellent therapist, very sensitive to her clients needs, and largely successful in helping them accomplish their goals. Later, years later, I sought her for supervision!
