Cynthia has over 20 years clinical and employee assistance program (EAP) experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, relationship, life transitions, and cultural adjustment issues.  She has facilitated sexual abuse, sex offender, mothers, 12 step support, and grief groups.  

As an International Psychologist and Licensed Mental Health Counselor, she has lived and worked internationally in Germany, Great Britain, Korea, Italy, Uganda, and Japan, providing military consulting on issues of cross-cultural adjustment, pre-post deployment resiliency as well as relationship issues and separation.  She has worked in the United Arab Emirates with nationals and expats providing individual, family and couples' counseling on issues of cultural adaptation, depression, anger and anxiety.  While in Dubai, she provided input into articles for Cosmopolitan Middle East, Gulf News, The National and Expat Dubai.

Cynthia has also delivered on-site corporate Crisis Response Services and has designated crisis response programs including an Art Therapy program after 9/11.  In 2013, she was Project Coordinator for Project Hope, the FEMA funded Hurricane Sandy Disaster Response Program.  Cynthia has also done research on war rape in the Democratic Republic of Congo and is in the process of conducting research on Syrian refugees in Turkey.
